Raised deck, arch, handrail and gates
I recently replaced a raised deck in a sloped garden in Helford, creating a stronger, more comfortable space for the clients to sit back and enjoy the incredible view. The deck was constructed using locally sourced Douglas fir, chosen for its warmth and longevity. Here are a few final shots taken while the wood is still bright and fresh, before the weather inevitably silvers it down.
Key features:
Decking:
Douglas Fir decking featuring a mitred border detail.
Exposed balustrade design to provide an unobstructed view of the river.
Wide handrail for comfort while leaning.
Archway:
A matching Douglas Fir archway to support an established wisteria, which will eventually grow across the front of the decking.
Gates:
Elevating the outdoor paths and parking with custom gates.
These bespoke Douglas fir gates combine durability and style, featuring heavy-duty galvanized iron fittings and slatted cladding for maximum privacy. Made from locally sourced timber, these gates not only enhance the appearance of the front garden but are also practical and designed to last for years.
